MUSIC SUPERVISION
Lonnie was introduced to the magical audio-visual world through the eyes and ears of his father Lester Sill. He further developed his techniques from mentors Dick Berres, Gary LeMel, Johnny Oliver, and his brothers Chuck, Joel and Greg. He gets the best from talent and fulfills the film maker's vision.

Lonnie's extensive experience and connections in the music, film and television markets offers a unique understanding of today's creative and production needs. He has a complete hands-on background in all areas of pre-production through post-production. Lonnie is skilled in music clearance and continues to supervise music for film and television. Recent projects include The Elvis Miniseries, Cane for CBS, 6 Billion Paths to Peace sonic branding for Banshee Music/GMR Marketing,and the IMAX 3-D CG animated sci-fi film Quantum Quest.

From Jack Nicholson to Francis Ford Coppola to Tony Scott, filmmakers have relied on Sill to find and create music that is compelling and works for the project. Lonnie has the natural ability and skill set for creating and marketing music in film, television and soundtracks. He puts the right combinations together producing first-rate songs, themes, logos and background music.

SMG Supervision services include:

  • Prepare budgets and scripts
  • Research, suggest and document appropriate ethnic/period source music
  • Prepare pre-recordings and playback material as required by production
  • Supervise and coordinate any on-camera music requirements
  • Research suggest and coordinate appropriate recording artists (on & off camera)
  • Direct audio/visual synchronization
  • Work closely with director/producers and composers in the coordination and supervision of scoring sessions
  • Participate in music spotting sessions with director/producers
  • Consult and or negotiate source music fees including master use and synchronization agreements for selected source
  • Solicit and negotiate the most advantageous soundtrack record agreement
  • Liaise between recording artists, record companies, production and music department
